Cheese Meet & Greet With Cider

Cheese and apples go well together, and this year, we join them together into one glorious Meet & Greet! Come meet the largest collection of Washington cheese & cider makers to assemble this year in one place, as well as one apple orchardist and a distillery that makes vodka and grappa from Washington apples! Learn about the extraordinary growth in Washington's cheese, cider and spirits making industries, both in numbers of producers and in quality, while you sample these goods of the assembled artisans.

See why no restaurant in Washington should be without a Washington-only cheese plate selection, find out why Washington has become so important in domestic cheese making that the American Cheese Society held its annual event in Seattle in 2010, and find new local labels to add to your bar menus!

Also, learn about Seattle Chefs Collaborative's (SCC) Quillisascut Farm School Scholarship, being presented for the 9th consecutive year. The Quillisascut Farm School for the Domestic Arts provides an opportunity for culinary students and professionals to experience first hand, on a farm, exactly where the ingredients they use in their professional kitchens every day come from, leaving them with a life altering experience that will affect their careers for life. The SCC scholarship covers tuition for the week-long program. (Applications can be picked up on May 14th at the event, or downloaded at the SCC website at seattlechefs.org.)
